Domino's Closes in Italy and Italians Don't Care

American fast food chain Domino’s Pizza thought they could one-up classic Italian pizzerias by offering delivery. Italians, on the other hand, is delivering Domino’s right out of their country. Domino’s started selling pizza in Italy in 2015 and reportedly planned to have 880 restaurants in the country by 2030. Instead, Domino’s is closing its 29 remaining stores in 2022. Beyond the cultural clashes, Domino’s Italy had a debt of 10.6 million euros.
