They note that she chatted about the project on Insta describing it as coming from a place she’s never to tapped into before… but now she’s fully in this new era,

People reports that Ariana said that the vibe of Petal is all about shedding negativity, emotional baggage, and expectations that no longer fit her! She wants the album to represent growth through hard situations.
Petal drops July 31 and marks her first album since Eternal Sunshine!
