Demi Lovato chatted all about growing up on the Disney Channel alongside Miley Cyrus and Selena Gomez… and how it wasn’t always easy.
According to People, she was just on Keke Palmer’s podcast, where she said the environment felt competitive, because people were constantly comparing them.
People notes that Demi said that being compared at such a young age REALLY fueled her insecurities and made navigating fame SOOOO much more challenging.
But, they report that she said her mom was there to remind her that “there’s room for everyone,” which helped her stay supportive instead of seeing them as rivals.
People writes that Demi also chatted about how her and Selena were actually friends before Disney, which gave her a sense of comfort coming into the spotlight.
