Zayn just announced his fifth studio album, Konnakol!
According to Variety, he announced the news on Instagram sharing the album art with the caption "It’s that time again, I have been lucky enough to make a fifth studio album. My new album, KONNAKOL, out April 17."
He also announced that his upcoming single "Die For Me," will be out tomorrow!
Variety reports that the title of the album, Konnakol, refers to a South Indian vocal percussion art. Zayn said the sound is inspired by "a time before words existed."
They note that cover art is a blend of Zayn’s face and a snow leopard, which, he’s been secretly teasing at his recent Vegas shows.
Variety also reports that insiders are saying that sound wise he’s going back to "pop-forward R&B," more like his debut album.
