After a pretty slow creative stretch this past year, Lewis Capaldi says he’s finally ready to dive back into writing and recording, with studio time booked for January to start fresh.
According to NME, the Scottish singer admitted he hasn’t written a single new song since March, and even went months without picking up his guitar because he was in what he called a “creative rut.”
They note he spoke about it on an Australian radio show, saying that now he’s looking forward to getting back into the process, whether that’s melody ideas, lyrics, or mixing both
NME reports that this comes after a year where he did release music... including the Survive EP... and made a comeback performance, but still felt like he needed time to let new ideas breathe before really creating again.
