Here's your recap of what happened yesterday with the Diddy case and the start of verdict deliberations.
According to The Independent, just an hour into deliberations, the jury sent a note to the judge about one of their peers. It said, "We are concerned that Juror 25 cannot follow your honor’s instructions."
They note that this juror is a scientist, with a degree in neuroscience, and currently lives in Manhattan.
The Independent notes that the judge said it was unclear to him from the note whether the juror in question refuses to follow the instructions or if he did not understand them. Ultimately, the judge told them to keep deliberating and to let him know if the issue persisted. Ok, so that seemed to be settled and A-ok.
Then, they report that hours later they sent two more notes. The first asked a question to better understand a law related to the racketeering conspiracy charge. The second note said they would dismiss at 5pm and begin deliberating again at 9am today.
The Independent also reports that Diddy seemed to be in good spirits, smiling with family and attorneys in the courtroom.
