Rumor has it King Charles doesn't’ have plans of living out his life on the throne!
According to The New York Post, insiders say that the plan is King Charles (whose 75) will abdicate the throne in 10 years to let his son Prince William ascend the throne as a much younger, more modern king.
They note that insider, Princess Diana's former butler Paul Burrell revealed, "I think the king and queen have given this job 10 years, I think this is a 10-year plan... I don’t think he will want to continue being king when crowned heads of Europe have found that they can hand over to their heirs and see them become monarch and enjoy it."
This also actually just happened in Denmark about a month ago, their 85 year old queen just stepped aside for her 55 year old son.
