Am I heartbroken, yes. Am I surprised, no.

The Queen of Selling Sunset drama, Christine Quinn, is NOT returning to to the hit Netflix show next season.

At the end of Season 5, we see (or rather, we don't see) Christine as she is supposed to show up to a meeting with Mary Fitzgerald and Jason Oppenhiem after allegations brought up by Emma Hernan that Christine bribed a client with $5,000 to work with her over Emma. Just moments earlier, we see a conversation with Christine and new bestie, Chelsea Lazkani, where she basically says she's done with the "O Group" and is ready to move on to bigger and better things.

In her interview with Alex Cooper on the famed podcast, Call Her Daddy, Christine alleges that she was totally unaware that this meeting was taking place, and denies ever trying to bribe anyone. In the same interview, she also slams the show's producers, claiming that the show is manipulative in the way it is shot and edited, and she even brought proof! She goes on to talk about the long days on set, the pressure the producers placed on her shortly after the birth of her first child, and how she was always set to play "the villain."

That being said, considering the Season 5 ending and the opening of her new brokerage, Real Open, it's not a complete shock she has decided to part ways with the cast. However, in her Call Her Daddy interview, Christine also hinted at a spinoff where her brokerage would be in competition with the Oppenhiem Group. Perhaps we smell something new brewing!

So, my fellow Selling Sunset fans, the next season won't be the same, but perhaps there is still hope!

There is currently no date for the Season 6 premiere of the show, but Netflix has announced that the Orange County Spinoff, Selling the OC, will premiere on Netflix on 8/24/22!
