A staple in Western Mass has closed it's doors for good. Bernie's Dining Depot in Chicopee was a family run diner that many loved because of the extensive menu, huge portions and inviting atmosphere.
Yes, it was that diner with the cool train car attached to it. Phantom Gourmet paid a visit back in 2015 and featured their Prime Rib, one of the many things they were known for.
In a new Facebook post, it was revealed that the diner would be saying goodbye to the very community that it served for many years.
It is said that all good things must come to an end. This announcement does not make it any easier to let go.
It is with a very heavy heart that the long history of Bernie's Dining Depot has come to an end.
We wish to thank all of our loyal customers for all of your support over the years. We will miss you all and cherish the memories of this Chicopee institution forever.
While I got to visit when I first starting working in Western Mass, I am bummed that I never got to eat there!
