Taylor Swift is getting very proactive about AI and honestly, it’s kind of genius!
According to Gerbin Law, she just filed new trademarks to protect both her voice and her image from AI misuse.
They note that two of them are actually sound trademarks, built around phrases like “Hey, it’s Taylor Swift.”
The goal isn’t just the phrases… it’s locking down the voice itself from AI imitations.
Gerbin Law reports that this comes as AI-generated content is blowing up—fake songs, videos, and deepfakes using artists’ likenesses.
Traditional protections (like copyright or “right of publicity”) don’t fully cover AI clones... so this is a workaround! Trademarks could let her go after anything that sounds or looks “confusingly similar” to her.
They also reports that she also filed protection for a specific visual image—basically guarding her recognizable look and stage presence.
