The Backstreet Boys are officially making their pitch for one of the biggest stages in music: the Super Bowl halftime show.
According to TMZ, during a recent performance at their Las Vegas residency, the group made it clear they’d love to headline the 2027 halftime show. AJ McLean hyped up the crowd and floated the idea in real time, and fans were very into it.
They note that the timing isn’t random. The group already had major Super Bowl visibility this year thanks to their appearance in a national commercial, so they’re clearly back in the mainstream spotlight.
TMZ reports that the NFL previously approached them years ago about performing, but they ended up singing the national anthem instead of doing halftime.
Nothing is confirmed, but the Backstreet Boys are officially campaigning!
