Brooklyn Beckham, 26, has publicly accused his parents, David and Victoria Beckham, of trying to sabotage his marriage to Nicola Peltz Beckham, saying they prioritized family branding over his personal life.
The New York Times report that Brooklyn shared a detailed statement on Instagram saying his parents “controlled narratives in the press” and placed “countless lies” in media rather than supporting his relationship.
They note a key point in his allegations centers around his wedding to Nicola in April 2022, where he claimed Victoria Beckham backed out of designing Nicola’s dress at the last minute and even hijacked his first dance, leaving him “humiliated.”
NYT also reported that Brooklyn also wrote that his parents pressured him to sign away rights to his name ahead of the wedding, something he refused, and said he no longer wants to reconcile with them.
They note David Beckham has not directly responded to Brooklyn’s accusations but was quoted saying children should be allowed to make mistakes on social media during a separate interview
