Taylor Swift is trying to stay out of court… again!
According to Billboard, poet named Kimberly Marasco is suing Taylor Swift, claiming Taylor copied lines and themes from her work for more than a dozen songs.
They note Taylor’s legal team is pushing back hard, asking the judge to throw the case out for good — calling it “absurd,” “frivolous,” and “harassing.”
Billboard also reports that the poet already filed a similar lawsuit earlier this year, which a judge dismissed after ruling she can’t claim ownership over common phrases or broad ideas.
Taylor’s lawyers say this new case is the same problem all over again: Kimberly is trying to monopolize basic themes and metaphors that no one can copyright.
The news comes after she was spotted having a GNO in NYC with Este Hiam!
