Fyre Festival 2 has officially been postponed!
According to People, organizers issued a statement which reads, "The event has been postponed and a new date will be announced. We have issued you a refund. Once the new date is announced, at that time, you can repurchase if it works for your schedule... FYRE Festival 2 is still on... We are vetting new locations and will announce our host destination soon. Our priorities remain unchanged: delivering an unforgettable, safe, and transparent experience."
They note the festival was supposed to take place in Mujeres, Mexico, from May 30th to June 2nd. However, this postponement comes after claims that the festival did not have permits or permission to be at the location they claimed.
People also notes that Billy McFarland is returning as the organizer even though he did prision time for fraud regarding the first Fyre festival which ended in disaster.
