Meet The Connecticut Humane Society's Adoptable Pet of the Week: Bruce

If you're looking for a peaceful companion for the holiday season, Bruce is your best friend.

Six-year-old Bruce arrived at the end of April and was in need of some patience and care. He was a shy boy, but very calm and reserved.

He will do well in a home that is peaceful. While Bruce has not had much experience with dogs or cats, he may be willing to share his home with a cat savvy dog or a feline friend.

The family that will be best for Bruce must have cat experience. Bruce will do well with children that are gentle and respectful of pets pending an interaction with him. Bruce is the sweetest snuggler and while he does have some medical needs, he has plenty of love to give. He eats his prescription food well for his upset tummy. Please call the Westport Shelter and an Adoption Counselor can answer any questions about Bruce.

If you're deeply in love with Bruce, he is available in Westport. In order to best serve pets in CHS' care and to efficiently serve the community, the Westport location is operating on an appointment-only schedule and adoptions for pets at these locations will begin online via online application. Visit CThumane.org/Status to learn more.

See more at CThumane.org/adopt, or come visit in person. CHS is an independent nonprofit organization located in Newington, Waterford, and Westport and a reduced-fee Fox Memorial Clinic for owned pets, and is not affiliated with the government or any other animal welfare organizations. CHS’ work is made possible 100% through the generosity of donors.
