Major League Baseball's Home Run Derby is coming to Dunkin' Park, and we want YOU to be a part of the fun! Home Run Derby X will take place at Dunkin' Park Friday, August 11th, marking the first time the event has EVER been held in the United States. Major League Baseball introduced Home Run Derby X last year in London, Mexico City and Seoul. American League All-Star and New York Yankees World Series Champion Nick Swisher, and Boston Red Sox World Series Champion Jonny Gomes, will participate in the event along with other legends yet to be named.

In this electrifying new format, co-ed teams of four go head-to-head to hit home runs and make epic catches in a three-inning game built for quick fire, non-stop action:

Rules of the Game:

Each team will include one PRO (Nick Swisher, Jonny Gomes, etc)

Each co-ed team has 3 hitters and 1 pitcher

Each hitter will have one at bat of 2 minutes 30 seconds; the opposing team will be in the outfield

A home run scores one point for the offense

A catch by an outfielder scores one point for the defense

Extra points can be earned through hitting hot streaks, target strikes, and in-game boosters

A Tag in/Tag out option is available for each at-bat

The team with the most total points after all at bats wins the game.

Movie theaters are enjoying a boost thanks to Barbie!

RECAP of last weekends total:

“Barbie” ruled the North American box office for a third weekend in a row, the film has officially passed $1 Billion globally. Greta Gerwig is now the first solo female director in history to have a film reach $1 Billion. That big shark took second place, “Meg 2: The Trench,” with $30 million in its debut weekend domestically and globally, $142 million.. “Oppenheimer” is in third with $28.7 million. The historical drama nhas earned $552 million total sales. In fourth place with $28 million our green friends, “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem” and in fifth spot with a disappointing result for Disney’s “Haunted Mansion” earning only $9 million.

This weekend one of many new releases hopes to break the top 5! Based on a single chilling chapter from Bram Stoker’s classic novel 'Dracula,' 'The Last Voyage of the Demeter' tells the terrifying story of the merchant ship Demeter, which was chartered to carry private cargo—fifty unmarked wooden crates—from Carpathia to London.

Have a Great Weekend
