One thing that I've heard a lot in the time that I've lived in the Wallingford/Cheshire area is people who wonder why we don't have a Whole Foods Market around - without having to drive to West Hartford or Milford. Now, Cheshire will be getting a Whole Foods Market and TJ Maxx in a brand new development.
The new development will be near the junction of Route 10 and Interstate 691 in the far northern part of Cheshire, near where it meets the Meriden and Southington town lines. With a lot of highway access, this will be a big development.
Cheshire has had a Marshall's, but no TJ Maxx, with the closest one being at the Meriden Mall. One has to wonder if TJ Maxx will remain open at the Meriden Mall after this, as more stores continue to leave that property.
