Ken Jennings named interim 'Jeopardy!' host after death of Alex Trebek Record-breaking "Jeopardy!" champion Ken Jennings is set to serve as an interim host for the game show following the death of Alex Trebek earlier this month. Jennings, who previously won 74 games of "Jeopardy!" in a row, will be the first of several interim hosts when the show begins production next week, the show confirmed in a Monday statement. The episodes hosted by Jennings are set to air in January, following Trebek's final week of shows beginning on Jan. 4. A permanent replacement for Trebek has not yet been named, according to the statement.
