Harry Styles has become the first man to appear solo on the cover of fashion bible Vogue. The One Direction singer, 26, poses in a pale blue lace Gucci ballgown and black tuxedo jacket for the magazine cover, photographed by Tyler Mitchell. He told the US magazine: "You can never be overdressed. There's no such thing. "The people that I looked up to in music - Prince and David Bowie and Elvis and Freddie Mercury and Elton John - they're such showmen. "As a kid it was completely mind-blowing. "Now I'll put on something that feels really flamboyant, and I don't feel crazy wearing it. "I think if you get something that you feel amazing in, it's like a superhero outfit. "Clothes are there to have fun with and experiment with and play with. "What's really exciting is that all of these lines are just kind of crumbling away. "When you take away 'There's clothes for men and there's clothes for women', once you remove any barriers, obviously you open up the arena in which you can play. "I'll go in shops sometimes, and I just find myself looking at the women's clothes thinking they're amazing.
