Wait hold up, the Justin Bieber and Tom Cruise UFC fight might actually happen and I am honestly not sure how to feel about it. Remember when Justin Bieber randomly challenged Tom Cruise to a fight? Justin's tweet from June 9th. He wrote quote, “I wanna challenge Tom Cruise to fight in the octagon. Tom if you don’t take this fight your scared and you will never live it down. Who is willing to put on the fight? @danawhite?” We were initially told it was a joke by Justin himself and the Biebs, who’s never met Tom, actually really respects him. And while that’s true, it turns out there may actually be some truth behind the tweet.
TMZ got the low down on an epic phone call that happened last Friday. They reported that Ari Emanuel, the co-CEO of the WME agency that owns UFC reportedly called Justin's manager, Scooter Braun, and then conferenced in Dana White, the current President of the UFC. According to TMZ, Ari said this would be an epic fight that needed to happen and Dana agreed saying that he was "100%" into the idea. And on the same call, Scooter made it clear that Justin would absolutely fight if Tom wanted to do it.
So Ari has reason to strongly believe that Tom would agree to enter the Octagon and take on Justin. And Twitter is freaking out over this now, not-so-secret phone call. One person wrote quote, “Love them. This should happen. I’d pay to watch.” And another said quote, “Man this is going to b good..I hope its on t.v. so we can see it.” And it seems like it will be. Dana White, remember that’s the UFC president, told TMZ that this fight would be a no brainer for him and the easiest event he's ever promoted in his career.
So I guess this joke has just escalated into something very real and I might actually end up watching a UFC match for the first time if this happens. Can you imagine, seeing Tom Cruise and Justin Bieber throwing punches at each other
