Miley Cyrus Sued for Plagiarism Over "Flowers"

Miley Cyrus is headed to court over one of her biggest hits!

According to The Guardian, Miley is being sued over her hit "Flowers." They note that the plaintiff, Tempo Music, who owns a portion of Bruno Mars' "When I Was Your Man." They claim that Miley plagiarized the song.

They note that the lawsuit says, "Any fan of Bruno Mars’ When I Was Your Man knows that Miley Cyrus’s Flowers did not achieve all of that success on its own. Flowers duplicates numerous melodic, harmonic, and lyrical elements of When I Was Your Man, including the melodic pitch design and sequence of the verse, the connecting bass line, certain bars of the chorus, certain theatrical music elements, lyric elements, and specific chord progressions."

Videos online went viral around the release of "Flowers" pointing out the comparison.
