Basketball player Brittney Griner has been released from Russian prison after a prisoner swap.
According to CBS news, Griner was detained by Russian police at the airport back in February after she tried to smuggle a "cannabis-derived oil cartridge" into the country.
Griner is being returned to the US in exchange for Russian international arms dealer Viktor Bout.
President Biden tweeted the news writing, "Moments ago I spoke to Brittney Griner. She is safe. She is on a plane. She is on her way home."
