John Mayer went all-in for Throwback Thursday this week -- by posting an Instagram video showing him playing and singing with his high school band.
Mayer looks pretty dapper onstage as he plays for the 1995 graduating class of Connecticut's Fairfield High School. But even though he got a lot of attention for the gig, he didn't get his cap and gown.
In the caption, he writes, "I didn’t actually get my diploma that day, as I was a terrible student who was only interested in playing the guitar and writing songs. So let this be a lesson to all young people everywhere. if you follow your dreams and stay focused, one day you too can go to summer school."
