National Night Out Day promotes police-community partnerships in neighborhoods across the country. The event focuses on the community and raising awareness through camaraderie. By improving area relationships the hope is to make our neighborhoods safer.
Connecticut towns and hundreds of other cities nationwide will be coming together tonight for National Night Out. The idea is to spend a positive evening outside with neighbors in your community and do a “town-wide block party.” There will be bounce houses, a dunk tanks, food, music, and so much more
Some towns that will be hosting National night out include New Haven, East Hartford, Vernon, New Britain, Meriden, New London, Groton, Waterbury, Bridgeport, and Hartford.
