Twenty years ago today, the New England Patriots announced they planned on moving to Hartford, Connecticut. Patriots owner Robert Kraft and former Gov. John Rowland held a news conference on November 19, 1998 to announce the news. The state would've built a $380 million stadium on the waterfront. On April 1999 the deal crumbled and the team officially notified Connecticut that the move to Hartford was off.
