Lowe's announced today that it would be scaling back the number of stores in the United States and Canada, including one in Connecticut. Per Lowe's website, Lowe’s of Orange, CT (Store #621) is the one store in Connecticut that will be closing.
"The store closures are a necessary step in our strategic reassessment as we focus on building a stronger business," said CEO Marvin Ellison, in a statement.
Lowe's stated they will try to find jobs at nearby stores for its employees affected by the closings, which will go into effect by February 1st of next year.
