I am shook right now… AJ McLean from the Backstreet Boys just revealed that the group’s record label wanted to change the ICONIC lyrics to their song, "I Want it That Way."
According to People, in a new interview he said, "They felt like this song didn’t make any sense, it wasn’t going to go anywhere."
He said that they wanted to change the lyric "I never wanna hear you say, I want it that way," to "I love it when I hear you say I want it that way.”
WHAT?! No… That is SO weird!
Thankfully, People notes that AJ revealed they stuck to their guns and just felt the change wasn’t right for the song so - the song and lyrics we know and love was born!
