OH MY GOD. It was a NIGHTTTTTT!
SOOOO much to go over but we’ll start with Eminem who opened the show with a ton of Slim Shady's and reminded the world he’s one of the OG’s.
Taylor Swift who has broken ANOTHER RECORD - and - this time it’s Beyonce's! So, according to People, Taylor broke her record for the most moon men ever won, Beyonce had 25, Taylor now holds 30! They note she also broke the record for Video of the Year wins with a whopping 5 nods!
She actually took a second to thank her boyfriend Travis Kelce during her acceptance speech for video of the year!
Taylor and Post Malone who took home the VMA for best collab for Fortnight! and during the acceptance speech Post Malone had some sweet words about out girl Taylor!
Sabrina Carpenter also had a great night taking home the VMA for best song with Espresso!! The girl also KILLED her performance and threw another nod to this alleged love triangle with her, Shawn Mendes and Camila Cabello by kissing an alien involved in a love triangle.... This also called on inspo from the VMA performance where Madonna kissed both Britney Spears and Christina Augliera.
But speaking of Shawn Mendes, he also performed and debuted his new song, "Nobody Knows" with both Sabrina and Camila sitting in the audience… and lemme tell ya, it was giving awkward because deff about one of them!
Our girlie Chappell Roan also performed "Good Luck Babe" with a medieval kinda fantasyland and she took home the award for Best New Artist!
Katy Perry, was this year’s Video Van Guard award recipient, and also killed it with her performance! I mean, she was flying through the air, doing flips… she sang fan favs like Roar, California Girls, Teenage Dream and ET! And of course, there was a surprise guest.. our girl Dochii! It was also super sweet because Orlando Bloom, her fiancé, actually introduced her and presented her with the award!
And we’ll wrap up with the the red carpet, or actually the black carpet, rather! Everyone really stepped up, I mean they were serving lewks!
Some of my favorites: Taylor Swift, Sabrina Carpenter, Katy Perry, Meg Thee Stallion, and not just cause I love her, but Paris Hilton also looked so so good!
