Benson Boone is sharing a VERY awkward fan encounter from early in his touring days, and honestly, the timing could not have been worse.
According to People, Benson says he and two friends had a childhood joke where they’d take their pants completely off at a urinal because they thought it was funny. So, at one of his early amphitheater shows, they decided to do it again... except Boone didn’t realize the bathroom was actually shared with the audience.
They note he said, “I walk in there, drop the drawers. They are fully at my ankles.” Then someone walked in. He assumed it was one of his friends… it was a fan!
People reports that the fan apparently recognized him and gasped, leading to what Boone described as “so awkward” and said, “I was horrified.”
Benson says the fan was “super cool,” and he actually shook the fan’s hand before washing his own.
