Both electric companies say restoration of electricity may take longer than usual due to the COVID-19 pandemic and safety protocols that are in place

Lake Compounce and Quassy Ammusment Parlks are closed

Many of our state parks and campgrounds suffered tree damage, and remain without power as a result of Tropical Storm Isaias. State Parks and Forests, including all state campgrounds will remain closed on Wednesday, August 5th to allow for storm clean-up, and further assessment.

Metro North is not operating today on the New Haven line due to storm damage

A man was killed by a falling tree in Naugatuck and is the only known death in Connecticut so far.
