New Horizons Village is going to be holding an exhibit at the Unionville Museum. The exhibit will highlight our unique history. The history of New Horizons Village dates back to the 1950s when a group of individuals with severe physical disabilities dreamed of living independently. This group of men and women had significant limitations imposed on them due to their disabilities and they were forced to live in institutions. At that time, there were no other living options. These courageous individuals worked tirelessly to raise the funds necessary in order to purchase the land and build New Horizons Village with the necessary accommodations to live independently.
