“RIDE FOR INDEPENDENCE” EVENT RESCHEDULING NOTIFICATION – SUNDAY, OCTOBER 7

“RIDE FOR INDEPENDENCE” EVENT RESCHEDULING NOTIFICATION – SUNDAY, OCTOBER 7, 2018

Fidelco Guide Dog Foundation’s foremost priority with our annual “Ride for Independence” motorcycle event is everyone’s safety. This commitment is based upon the same criteria used when placing our elite German Shepherd Guide Dogs with clients who are blind. During the past seven years’ Ride events, we’ve not experienced any rider accidents or injuries because of this commitment.

Upon consultation with law enforcement agencies and our ride director, Norm LeBlanc – with consideration of this weekend’s weather forecast of heavy rain and thunderstorms – and with the cooperation of our event sponsors, we are rescheduling the 2018 Fidelco Guide Dogs “Ride for Independence” to Sunday, October 7th when riders will be wrapped in glorious fall foliage colors during the ride; treated to a delicious Bear’s Smokehouse BBQ lunch; and enjoy special Oktoberfest refreshments.

Please share this message with your friends and fellow riders, and invite them to join us on Sunday, October 7th to support Fidelco Guide Dogs program for blind veterans and first-responders. All updated event information will be available at www.Fidelco.org and our social media channels.

Thank you and ride safe.
