The Best Speeches and The Big Winners From Last Night VMAS

Last night the MTV VMAs went down in New Jersey where Taylor Swift opened up the show with an amazing performance of You Need To Calm Down and an acoustic version of Lover.

Swift was a big winner last night taking home the VMA for Video Of The Year for “You Need to Calm Down” and she gave a powerful speech thanking her fans who want equal rights.

And the massive year for Lil Nas X continues as he and Billy Ray Cyrus won the VMA for Song Of The Year for Old Town Road.

Missy Elliott was the recipient of the Video Vanguard Award at this year’s MTV Video Music Awards. She performed a medley of hits, including “Get Ur Freak On”, “Work It”, as well as her latest single “Throw it Back”.

Elliott accepted the award and delivered her acceptance speech while being surrounded by several dozen dancers.

Singers Shawn Mendes and Camila Cabello performed their romantic hit Senorita and the performance was, in a word, steamy. The two have been romantically linked and they came so close to kissing onstage, their chemistry was undeniable.
