The beloved 1987 film The Princess Bride is one step closer to hitting the Broadway stage with Disney Theatricals hiring a new team to make it happen. Composer and lyricist David Yazbek and a book writers Bob Martin and Rick Elice have been tapped to create a musical from Rob Reinerâs film.
The film previously came close to being adapted into a stage musical but negotiations fizzled in 2007.
