A Bravo Star Say's He's A Single Dad

Jeff Lewis and his partner Gage Edward aren’t “Flipping Out” together anymore. The reality star, 48, revealed on Thursday’s episode of his Radio Andy show, “Jeff Lewis Live,” that Gage moved out of their shared home on Wednesday in the midst of a breakup. The couple shares a 2-year-old daughter named Monroe. “This has been a long time coming,” he confessed. “We were in separate rooms a significant portion of last year, so it was kind of like a roommate situation.” He noted that their problems began before the new year, but he didn’t realize how serious they were until Edward began to look for apartments. “For many, many, many months I was like, ‘F–k it. It’s happening. We’re breaking up. It’s a matter of time.’ And I didn’t help matters any at all,” he explained, noting that he could have worked harder to save their partnership. “I didn’t fight for the relationship. I didn’t work for the relationship … I think the reason we hadn’t ripped the Band-Aid off and separated is because we had the baby and neither one of us want to leave the baby and then … financially, it wasn’t the best time because I have four properties right now — three of which are in construction and one of which is sellable.” “We were like friends with benefits. We would still hook up, inconsistently,” he later added. “I was still encouraged, like, ‘There’s still something here… he’s still interested in me’ … But there was a real lack of intimacy because he wasn’t in my room. So I actually felt very lonely and sad and disappointed. That arrangement doesn’t work for me.” Lewis declined to comment on how they plan to share custody of their daughter. The former couple is still in the middle of a legal battle with their surrogate over derogatory comments Lewis allegedly made about her, with the case slated for trial this summer
