Connecticut Family Reunites With Lost Dog Five Years Later

This is a remarkable story of a family and their unbreakable bond with a dog that had been missing for 5 years.

Five years after their dachshund went missing, this Connecticut family has their 17-year-old dog back.

The Norwich Bulletin reports that Norwich Assistant Animal Control Officer Donna Gremminger spotted the 17-year-old female dachshund last Thursday in a parking lot in a city park.

The dog had lost most of her sight and hearing. A microchip embedded in the dog helped to reunite "Lady" with her owners Rick and Michelle Riendeau of Brooklyn, Connecticut.
