Lady Gaga Teases New Song 'Is That Alright?' From 'A Star Is Born': Listen

Lady Gaga has unveiled a new song from her film A Star is Born — and it's a total tear-jerker.

On Monday night (September 24), the Grammy-winning musician previewed a new piano ballad from the upcoming original motion picture soundtrack for the movie called "Is That Alright?" on Twitter. The number is every bit of warm and vulnerable and fearless as the singer-songwriter belts her heart out to her beloved.

"I want you to look right in my eyes/ To tell me you love me, to be by my side," Gaga sings over key progressions in the one-minute snippet. "I wanna see your face, wanna fall with grace/ At the moment I die/ Is that alright?"

The snippet also reveals several other records from the soundtrack, which releases the same day as the film (October 5), including "I'll Never Love Again," "Maybe It's Time" and "Shallow." These tracks will be joined by previously previewed numbers "One Reason," "A Way Out" and "12 Notes."

The film follows Jackson Maine (Bradley Cooper), a past-his-prime songwriter and mentor to aspiring singer Ally (Gaga), with whom he comes to fall in love. But as Ally's celebrity brightens the couple's relationship suffers all the more for it.

Cooper and Gaga celebrated the film's big-screen premiere at the Venice Film Festival (August 31).

In supporting A Star Is Born at the Toronto Film Festival earlier this month, the Joanne star revealed she had been bullied in her youth and how, much like her onscreen persona, she found refuge in writing songs.
