New Shoes Are Made From Recycled Chewing Gum

An Amsterdam clothing company is turning chewing gum into shoe soles. Gum is the second most common form of litter in the world.

It takes about 2.2 pounds of gum for every four pairs of Gumshoes.  There is roughly 3.3 million pounds on the streets of Amsterdam alone so materials aren’t hard to find.

Gumshoes are currently available for pre-order and they will go on sale in June for $232 per pair.
