Major Recall For Ice Cream Throughout New England


Ice cream bars sold with several different brand names have been recalled throughout New England after routine testing found listeria bacteria.

New York based Fieldbrook Foods Corp. issued the voluntary recall on Wednesday after discovering the contamination, but say no illnesses have been reported.

The bars recalled come in various flavors like orange cream bars, chocolate coated vanilla ice cream bars and a variety pack with the chocolate coated vanilla ice cream bars in them.

They are sold under the following product names at the following markets and stores...

  • Demoulas as Market Basket
  • Dollar Tree as Party Treat
  • Price Chopper as PIC
  • Shaws and Star Market as Lucerne
  • Stop N Shop as Ahold symbol
  • Price Rite as Price Rite brand
  • Walmart as Great Value
  • Shoprite as Shoprite brand and Polar Express
  • Various as Food Club, Stoneridge, Hagan, Greens, Hood
