According to People, Mexican actor, Eugenio Derbez has come out swinging about her portrayal and her spanish-speaking in the film calling it "indefensible."
Meanwhile, Selena spent 6 months taking Spanish lessons to ensure she was fluent!
People note she responded saying, "I’m sorry I did the best I could with the time I was given. Doesn’t take away from how much work and heart I put into this movie."
