Celebs including Jennifer Lawrence, Kate Upton, and Victoria Justice had their personal (and very intimate) photos hacked and exposed for all the world to see this week, which has had a lot of people — especially the On Air with Ryan Seacrest staff — wondering if the same could happen to them.

So we consulted a pro to give us some tips … iJustine!

“I’ve told people from the very beginning of cell phones, if you take it there’s a good chance that it may actually get out no matter who you are or what you’re doing,” she explains. “You have to have a passcode on your phone. If you lose your phone, not only will someone get all of your photos — whether you’ve taken pictures of your kids — they can be making phone calls, your bank information is on there.”

And it’s not just photos and text messages. iJustine also warns to be careful with your email too.

“In a digital world, there are flaws in everything,” she says. “It’s not a perfect system … even email. I’m always concerned if I send something, it may get sent to the wrong person. Or someone may hack their email. I’ve been hacked many times. Make really good passwords and keep up on that.”
