So ok, the worst kept secret is finally confirmed – Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi is indeed pregnant.
The “Jersey Shore” star(?) announced her upcoming arrival on the cover of “Us Weekly” and, in the accompanying interview, revealed that she’s about fifteen weeks along with fiancé Jionni LaValle’s child. “I have different priorities now,” Polizzi told the magazine. “I don’t care what everybody else thinks. As long as I know I’m ready and he’s ready.” But, uh… is she ready? Anyway, Snooki said that she learned about her pregnancy right after New Years – even though her rep was denying rumors as recently as February first. Sneaky, sneaky.
Polizzi and LaValle have been dating for about a year and a half – and like any couple, they’ve had their ups and downs. About their long-distance courtship while Snooki was filming “Shore” in Italy, she said, “It sucked. From being with him six months every single day to not being with him, to being in another country and not talking to him, it was hard. It was legit like a long-distance relationship.” Which poses the question: What’s a non-legit long-distance relationship? Across town?
Anyway, it’s unclear if Snooki and Jionni will get hitched prior to the birth… or if they will at all. Polizzi’s rep wouldn’t comment on a potential wedding timeline, but back in January, Snooki did. “I was babies and marriage when I’m 26,” she said – at that point age 24. “I’m warning Jionni, two years. I’m just putting it out there, just letting him know.”
Wish she could have let us know about the baby sooner… we have to prepare. Cuz we're not ready for this.
