Some good is coming from all the fist pumping.

In Seaside Heights, New Jersey, where families have ridden amusement park rides and eaten funnel cakes for generations, is destroyed from Hurricane Sandy. The boardwalk made famous (or infamous?) by the cast of MTV’s “Jersey Shore” is in ruins. The odd part? The house where the “Shore” cast lived appears to be damage-free, unlike other parts of the peninsula.

But the cast is showing support for the town that has made them famous.

“Sandy destroyed Seaside, our second home,” said “Shore” cast member Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi in a statement to MTV News. “It’s devastating to see our boardwalk and favorite spots ruined. My prayers go out to everyone affected by the storm.”

“Crying over the damage the jersey shore and my town received. I cannot believe this,” Jenni “JWoww” Farley tweeted this week. The reality stars – including Paul “DJ Pauly D” DelVecchio and Ronnie Margo.

“Our thoughts and prayers go out to all of those affected by the hurricane, especially our friends and business owners in Seaside Heights, who are now a part of the MTV family, “the network said in a statement. “MTV is actively exploring ways to best help with the recovery efforts, and in the meantime we are encouraging everyone to donate to the American Red Cross’ disaster relief efforts.”
