One of my favorite songs we are playing is Kygo and Whitney Houston's "Higher Love". In this clip, Kygo takes us behind the scenes of how he created this modern take on a classic song originally recorded by Steve Winwood in 1986. Winwood's version peaked at #1 on the Billboard Hot 100. The legend behind Whitney's vocals of this song where that when she was recording her 1990 album, "I'm Your Baby Tonight", that she recorded a remake of "Higher Love" that would only be included on the Japan release of that album. Now the rest is history and we can thank Whitney's family and Kygo for modernizing this classic!
