Cardi B Opening The MTV VMAs Sunday Night

Cardi B will open the 2018 MTV Video Music Awards. The event will be held at New York City’s Radio City Music Hall on August 20th. Cardi’s VMA appearance marks her first performance since giving birth in July to Kulture Kiari, her first child with husband and Migos rapper Offset.

Cardi leads this year’s VMA nominations with 10 nods, including Best Video and Best New Artist.

Nick Carter Accused Of Rape

Melissa Schuman, the former teen pop singer who accused Nick Carter of rape, has filed a police report.

The Santa Monica Police Department confirms that a complaint against Carter about an early 2003 incident was filed yesterday. An investigation is being conducted.

Matt Lauer Pays $20 Million Dollars In His Divorce

The former "Today" host, Matt Lauer will pay up to $20 million to Annette Roque. Matt and Annette have children and have been married for 20 years.  Divorce talk came after Lauer was fired from his TV job in November 2017, amid sexual harassment claims.   

Lauer has reportedly made over $100 million dollars, with his salary at Today topping out over $25 million a year. Extra reports that this isn't the first time that Annette has filed for divorce. She submitted paperwork in 2006, but withdrew them weeks later.  

A source told Page Six, "Matt agreed to pay Annette a lump sum of millions back in 2006 as an incentive to stay with him to help him maintain his squeaky clean image as ‘America’s Dad.’ She also got an allowance every year, plus it was agreed that she would get a share of the value of all their homes if they did split.”
