Shaded Soul

The Glastonbury Chamber of Commerce and Glastonbury Parks & Recreation are pleased to announce the 2014 Glastonbury Riverfront Music Festival held every Wednesday night through July 31st. From 7-9pm at Riverfront Park. The concerts are free...so come, sit back, relax and enjoy the next performance. Pack a picnic or enjoy a festival treat.

Shaded Soul is a high-energy band that has been established since 1985 by owner/keyboard player Renee Prescott.  The unique vocal stylings and dynamic stage presence of our lead vocalists Adrienne Nails, Brian Meyers and Christina Billings captivate audiences and keep the dance floor filled all night long.

Shaded Soul has one of the hottest rhythm sections in New England consisting of Bob Hill on drums.  Tom Perrone on lead guitar and McAurthor Jaxsn Jackson on bass guitar laying down some funky grooves to artists like Marvin Gaye, The Commodores, Patti LaBelle and Alicia Keys.  Last but not least are the "Funktified" horns of Bill Rood playing tenor and alto sax throwing down horn lines for Earth Wind & Fire, Average White Band and James Brown.

Shaded Soul is known all over New England for their stage show and versatility in musical styles ranging from the 40's big band music to the top 40 of today.  Shaded Soul has been the opening band for The Four Tops, Howie Mandel, Three Dog Night, Mario, Alicia Bridges and Sister Sledge.

We are also active in the community doing benefit work and charity work with the following organizations.  Hartford Gay and Lesbian Health Collective, Hartford Riverfront Recapture, Nutmeg Big Brothers/Big Sister, American Cancer Society, Mercy Housing and Shelter, My Sister's Place, MDA, UCONN Health Center Pediatric HIV Program, just to name a few. Audiences say "Their energy is pure", "Everybody from my Grandparents to my little kids enjoyed their performance", "Amazing & fun to watch", "We give them a triple A+!"
